National Honor Society/National Junior Honor Society

What is National Honor Society/National Junior Honor Society?

The National Honor and Junior Societies are organizations sponsored by school principals across the United States.  Its purpose is to recognize students who have good grades, who are willing to serve others, who will lead other in positive directions and who show good character.  Being an NHS/NJHS member is often recognized as the highest honor a high school student can receive.   

Who is eligible for NHS/NJHS?

For NHS 10th graders must have a final GPA of 3.500 at the end of the 9th grade year.  11th and 12th graders must have a final GPA of 3.250 at the end of the 10th or 11th grade year.  For NJHS an 8th grader must have a final GPA for the 7th grade of 3.500.
