Screening is done in small groups with each prospective Kindergarten student in order to confirm his/her readiness to enter the Kindergarten classroom. Screening will be held Friday, March 14 and Thursday, March 20. You will be scheduled upon application.
All testing for grades K -12 will take place at FCA. Portions of the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT) are used for testing grades 4 -12. Students in grades K -3 will be tested using an individualized assessment. While test scores are not the sole decision for admissions, they are of great significance to determining proper educational placement as well as signaling any needed intervention. Once you have submitted your application, the school office will notify you of your student's test date.
Family Interviews
Once admissions testing have taken place for grades K-12 and the appropriate recommendation forms have been received in the office, each family will be notified to schedule a family interview. The family interview, with members of FCA’s administration, is required for all students who are making application to FCA. Parents and the prospective student(s) are required to be present at the interview. This is a time to explore FCA’s educational and spiritual distinctions, to share your reason for applying to FCA, and to discuss your student’s educational experience, special needs, and your family’s expectations of the school.
Admissions Policies
Fairfield Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. FCA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, grant and aid program, and athletic and other school administered programs.
By making an application to FCA, you are certifying that you are in agreement with our Statement of Faith stated below:
Admissions Decision
Admissions will be communicated by mail. The decision process is both confidential and final.
Admissions Fees
Application Fee
The application fee of $65 is required for each student applying for admission. This fee covers all admissions processing costs. It is a non-refundable fee and must accompany the completed application form on-line.
Enrollment Fee
The enrollment fee of $125 per child ($250 maximum per family) is paid annually at the time of enrollment. As an option, you may pay the second $125 installment on or before March 23, 2008. This fee reserves a seat for your student. It is a non-refundable fee and must be paid in full, both for new and returning students.
Tuition Discounts
For multi-student families, a tuition discount is offered for each additional student enrolled during the same term. Tuition is calculated beginning with the 1st student at the highest grade level. In addition, prepayment of full tuition by July 15, 2008, entitles a family to a 2% discount.
Tuition Payment Process
Fairfield Christian Academy utilizes the services of FACTS Tuition Management to facilitate monthly payments. It is important to note all payments are made directly to FACTS via a debit to a banking account that you designate. Also, your tuition payments can be processed via one of three payment options.
If you choose Option 2 or Option 3, you will be asked to complete the FACTS on-line tuition agreement form. If you decide to change your payment option after June 1, 2008, a $20 administrative charge will be assessed.
Grant & Aid Program
The 2008-2009 Grant & Aid applications will be available on-line in March for new students. New students can apply on-line after the family has been accepted. Please keep in mind there is a limited amount of assistance money available for qualifying families demonstrating need. Grant & Aid applications must be filed by April 16, 2008.
Withdrawal Procedure
If the student needs to withdraw during the school year, please notify the main office at least two (2) weeks in advance if possible. An exit interview must be scheduled with the Principal by the parent or legal guardian. This will enable us to notify the teacher, determine any balance or refund on your tuition account, and complete the necessary paperwork. In order to have your students' academic and health records transferred from Fairfield Christian Academy to a new school, you must sign a Records Release Form at the new school. Upon receipt of the signed Records Release Form, we will mail the records directly to the new school. Please note: all tuition and fees must be current before any records will be released.
Any student withdrawing after July 5 will be subject to a processing fee of $200. After school begins the following withdrawal fees will be charged:
Any student withdrawing or expelled must remain out of school for one full semester (two 9-week periods) before attempting to re-enroll. Where a behavioral or academic issue was reason for withdrawal or expulsion, parents must meet with the administrative team before readmission will be considered.
