School Board Biographies

School board members, offices held and additional information can be found below.  Current members of the board, who serve the ministry faithfully and pray for us daily include:

 

MICHELE CRUM-PRESIDENT was appointed to the FCA School Board  in 2010 and serves on the Spiritual Life & Biblical Integration Committee.  Mrs. Crum is a graduate of Ohio State University and holds a BSBA–Finance Major.  Michelle is currently employed as the Office Manager of Crum Equine Veterinary Services.  Michelle and her husband Dave, have lived in Lancaster for 10 years and are active members at Fairfield Christian Church for 8 years serving in various ministries such as Sunday School teacher and Deacon.  The Crums have a veterinary practice in Lancaster for 14 years, where they treat horses only.  They are proud parents of 2 FCA students in 4th and 5th grades.  Their family loves the outdoors and enjoys riding their horses.  

 

MARK VRANA-SECRETARY/TREASURER was appointed to the FCA School Board in 2010 and serves as a member on the Curriculum & Programs Committee.  He holds a B.S. Degree in Chemistry from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.  He is employed as Vice President of Research and Development at a local chemical company.  Dr. Vrana and his wife, Dr. Lisa Vrana, have lived in Lancaster and been members of the Fairfield Christian Church for about ten years.  They are the proud parents of two FCA students, a son in the first grade and a daughter in the fifth grade.

 

 

 

NEAL ALLISION-MEMBER is serving the third year of his first term on the board of trustees of FCA and serves as Chairman of the Finance & Marketing Committee.  Mr. Allison holds a B.S. from the University of Rio Grande, a license as a Certified Public Accountant, and is currently employed as the Controller at Fairfield Medical Center.  Neal, his wife Karen, and daughter Anna have been active members of Fairfield Christian Church for 10+ years serving in various ministries and outreaches particularly in the areas of worship arts and athletics.  The Allisons have lived in Lancaster for 25+ years, been active in various other community organizations and activities over those years, and personally Neal enjoys tennis, golf, and woodworking.

 

JIM MORRIS-MEMBER Was elected in 2012 to the FCA School Board and serves as a member on the Policy Development & Communications Committee.   He has been a member of Fairfield Christian Church for 27 years; serving in various ministries over those years.  He and his wife Sherry, have raised 4 children, all of whom are married.  They are blessed with 6 grandchildren.  Jim has had the privilege to serve as an elder in the church several times, and currently, is in his second year of a 3-year term. He is employed with Federal Express as an aircraft mechanic. His wife manages the Connection’s Café at the church.  Jim enjoys water sports, traveling, and spending time with his family. 

 

WENDY CURTIS-MEMBER was elected to the FCA School Board in 2012 and currently serves as a member on the Finance & Marketing Committee along with the Policy Development & Communications Committee.  Mrs. Curtis graduated from Fairfield Union High School and Muskingum Area Technical College.  She has been employed as a paralegal at Stebelton, Aranda & Snider, LPA since 1996 and received her Ohio State Bar Association State Paralegal Certification in 2009.  Mrs. Curtis works primarily in the estate and wealth planning, corporate business and business planning, acquisitions and collections areas of law.  In addition, she has been serving as an assistant accountant to the law firm since 1998.  She and her husband Randy, have four children, Andrew, Tyler, Brandi and Kaycee, two of which currently attend FCA.

 

DALE HARRIS-MEMBER was appointed to the FCA School Board in 2012 and currently serves as a member on the Curriculum & Programs Committee along with the Spiritual Life & Biblical Integration Committee. He and his wife Kimberly are both members of Fairfield Christian Church. They have four children, three of which attend FCA and the oldest graduating in 2010. He was the Technical Director for Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, Graduate Design Program before moving to Ohio.  As a result he has been involved with most of the school and church productions, as well as teaching drama to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.  He is currently the in-house lighting designer at the Midland Theatre.  He and his family enjoy hiking and camping in the mountains. 

 

ED RECK - EX-OFFICIO MEMBER currently serves as the superintendent of FCA and serves as Chairman of the Curriculum & Programs Committee, member of the Finance & Marketing Committee and member of the Policy Development and Communications Committee.  Mr. Reck began his tenure at FCA in August, 2000 originally joining the staff as Jr.Hi/Sr.Hi Bible teacher and Jr.Hi/Sr.Hi Principal.  As FCA grew in numbers, Mr. Reck transitioned from Principal to serving as Assistant Superintendent until the spring of 2011.  Mr. Reck holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Miami University, a Masters of Education from Xavier University, and has additional post-graduate hours in the area of educational administration.  Mr. Reck and his wife Barbara have been active members of Fairfield Christian Church for 12+ years, and enjoy spending time with their family whenever possible.

 

KEN MULPAS – FCC SENIOR PASTOR serves on the FCA School Board on an annually re-assigned term and has currently served for the past two years.  Ken is a graduate of Kentucky Christian University, Grayson, Ky and is currently the Senior Pastor at Fairfield Christian Church.  Ken and his wife Carolyn, have 4 children and are proud grandparents of 10 grandchildren of which 3 attend FCA.  Carolyn also serves at FCA in the Superintendent’s office.  Ken and Carolyn have been active members of Fairfield Christian Church for 13+ years. Ken enjoys golfing, traveling, riding their motorcycle and walking Baxter their Boxer.

 

NORMAN LEIST – EX-OFFICIO MEMBER is the Chief Financial Office for Fairfield Christian Church and Academy and serves as a member on the Finance and Marketing Committee.  He has served on the school board since his starting his CFO position in May of 2008 and currently serves as a member of the Finance and Marketing Committee.   Norm holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio.  He has over 30 years in the accounting, finance and business consulting area.  Norm is married to his wife Lisa and has 5 children.  When not working Norm likes to garden, golf, and his most favorite pastime, cooking for others!

 

BRANDY CONLEY – EX-OFFICIO MEMBER currently serves as the Finance Director of Fairfield Christian Academy and Fairfield Christian Church.  She has been preparing financial reports for the School Board since October 2005 and serves as a member of the Finance & Marketing Committee.  Mrs. Conley earned her BSBA in Accounting from Ohio Northern University and holds an inactive CPA license.  She and her husband, Jeremy, reside in Lancaster with their two children, Owen and Maya who attend FCA 1st grade and Childcare.

 

 

CAROLYN MULPAS – EX-OFFICIO MEMBER currently serves as the Assistant to the Superintendent of Fairfield Christian Academy.  She has been the recorder for the School Board since August, 2012.  Mrs. Mulpas and her husband Ken are both members of Fairfield Christian Church with her husband serving as Senior Pastor.  They have 4 children, 10 grandchildren, 3 of which attend FCA.   Carolyn has served in this role previously and has broad experience working in business.  She enjoys playing tennis, walking, traveling and playing with the grandkids!

Access to the Fairfield Christian Academy School Board

If you wish to personally communicate with the FCA School Board, you may do so by e-mailing the board at the below e-mail address. 

When communicating with the board, please bear in mind that the function of the board is to serve as a policy setting board.  Therefore, if you wish the board to consider developing a policy or changing policies, you may communicate directly with them via e-mail.  If you wish to address matters regarding the administration of the school program, please e-mail the school superintendent at the address listed below.

The board looks forward to the input of all members of the Fairfield Christian Academy community, whether through contacting our superintendent who will convey your input to the board, or through direct e-mail as provided below.
