CHOIR COMPETITION RESULTS

On Saturday, February 4th, 2012 the 8th through 12th grade students of the Fairfield Christian Academy High School Choir Knights participated in the Ohio Music Education Association Solo and Ensemble Contest held at Pickerington North High School. There were 1,344 events participating in the competition. In this competition student must perform literature chosen from a required list that is divided into difficulty levels, A, B, and C. Student performances are then adjudicated according to a I – V scale.
Senior Alyssa Green sang an amazing solo, Snowbells, and the choir students competed in five ensembles; With a Joyful Song, (SA) Homeward Bound,(SAB) Skye Boat Song, (TB) Ezekiel Saw the Wheel, (SATB) and Nelly Bly, (SATB) earning a total of five I, or superior, ratings for FCA.
Student accompanists for the day were Kristen Albert and Tasha Huffman.
