Scholarship/Voucher Programs through the Ohio Department of Education

EdChoice is a voucher/scholarship program offered by the State of Ohio.  EdChoice includes two different programs:  one is based on a family’s household income and one is based on the assigned public school. To visit the ODE School Options site click here.

  1. EdChoice Expansion – Household Income
This scholarship is based solely on income and the number of people in the household. The scholarship covers a child's full or partial tuition to attend FCA.  Click here to see if your family would qualify to apply for this scholarship (updated income levels for 2020-2021 coming soon). EdChoice Expansion scholarships are open to any student (K-12th), new or currently enrolled, whose family qualifies based on household income.
  2. EdChoice Traditional -  Low-performing School Buildings
This voucher program allows families who are currently attending a state designated low-performing public school to receive a voucher to attend FCA. Vouchers cover a large portion of tuition and the family is responsible for the difference between the scholarship amount and FCA’s tuition. Most currently enrolled FCA students are not eligible, because one the requirements is that the child must be currently attending the low-performing public school.  However, there are two exceptions to this requirement. First, incoming Kindergarten students must simply be assigned to attend a low-performing school.  Second, currently enrolled FCA students who have just completed 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade, and would be assigned to a low-performing public school if they were attending public school, also qualify.  Here is the list of qualifying schools
